Practices Housing

A new house

Support the migrants in vulnerable situations with housing solutions.

The project

The main objective of this project funded under National program AMIF is to support the migrants in vulnerable situations (e.g. beneficiaries of international protection, dingle parent families, medical cases, etc) after their arrival in Romania by covering partially or entirely the rental fees and/or the utility costs for a maximum period of 12 months.

JRS is the NGO implementing the project. Their representatives are also cooperating with other organizations in Romania that are providing assistance to migrants legally residing in Romania.

Some of the migrants legally residing in Romania have difficulties in covering the rent and utilities especially after their arrival in Romania. Some need support in navigating through the administrative procedures needed for renting an apartment as they do not know the language, they have difficulties in understating the contractual conditions of a renting contract, they do not have an income or their financial resources are not enough to cover the costs for rent and utilities.

The impact of the good practice

The project aims to provide a lasting and sustainable solution for TCNs who want to continue working in Romania.
