Tuesday the 28th of February
On Tuesday the 28th of February (h10.30 – 12.30), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations (UN) agency for migration, organizes a virtual study visit focused on the actions that public bodies and other entities carry out to facilitate the integration of unaccompanied and separated migrant children. This meeting will be the sixth in a series of study visits started in 2022 within the framework of Includ-EU, focusing on promoting the exchange of good practices between European regions about migrant integration.
Specifically, this meeting aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on the reception and inclusion of unaccompanied and separated migrant children, as well as to present the challenges of this reality, the good practices identified in different regions and the lessons learned from the experience in the last years. Through this study visit it is expected to increase the possibilities of cooperation between local and regional authorities, with different levels of experience and knowledge in the field of integration of the migrant population.
The virtual meeting, which will be held in English, will count with the participation of different representatives of public and private entities, as well as the participation of stakeholders involved with the migratory reality of countries such as Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, Slovenia and Romania, among others.
